
To be eligible to register to vote, a person must (1) be a native - born or naturalized citizen of the United States; (2) live in your precinct at least 30 days prior to the next election, and (3) be at least 18 years old by the date of the next election. To register to vote, a person must present two forms of identification; at least one identification must include the person's name and current Williamson County address. These IDs may include, but are not limited to, a driver's license, state photo ID for non-drivers, checkbook, lease, utility bill or piece of mail. The second form of ID needs only to include the person's name.
A person who changes their name (i.e. gets married) must completely re-register in order to be eligible to vote. A person who is already registered to vote within Williamson County and moves from one location to another location within Williamson County must complete a change of address form in order to be eligible to vote in the next election. These changes must also be processed at least 28 days prior to any election.
Besides the Williamson County Courthouse located in Marion, citizens can register to vote or change their address at the City Clerk's Office inside the City Hall located at 1102 Tower Square Plaza in Marion on or before March 28th
