The Mayor

Dear Fellow Citizens,

Welcome to the new website for Marion, IL, the city I call “the Hub of the universe.” My family proudly calls Marion home and we hope you have the same affection for our community after becoming better acquainted.

Our new site features online bill pay for the City’s Water Department, new ordinances, approved minutes for each city council meeting, a calendar of community and downloadable permit forms.

Marion is a growing community, which means the City has to adapt to the growing needs of the community. Our purpose in creating a new website is to make government more accessible to its citizens. The new site not only has new features, but also makes it easier to access the information we already had posted on the site.

My goal as mayor is to keep moving our community forward. I look forward to the challenges ahead and I hope that you will join me in helping to make Marion a better place to live.
